About

I founded GNB Collision Investigations in 2025, following more than 37 years of professional experience in policing and forensic collision investigation.
For seven years I worked with a leading UK forensic service provider as a Forensic Collision Consultant, where I carried out locus and vehicle examinations and prepared detailed collision reports for both criminal and civil litigation. Before that, I served as a police officer for 30 years, the majority of which was dedicated to roads policing. For 12 of those years I was a full-time Forensic Collision Investigator, ultimately holding the position of Senior Collision Investigator.
Over the course of my career, I have investigated numerous serious and fatal road traffic collisions involving a wide range of vehicles. I have prepared comprehensive reconstruction reports and have frequently acted as an expert witness in Coroners’, Magistrates’, and Crown Courts. Alongside criminal matters, I also have extensive experience in civil proceedings, working on behalf of both claimants and defendants.
I hold a range of professional qualifications, including City & Guilds in Collision Investigation and Motor Vehicle Examination and a BSc (Hons) in Work Related Studies (Combined Sciences).
I am a Member of the Institute of Traffic Accident Investigators (ITAI). I am additionally a Member of the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences (MCSFS) and a Member of the Institute of the Motor Industry (MIMI), where I hold the grade of Advanced Automotive Engineer (AAE).
I am committed to maintaining the highest standards of practice through Continuous Professional Development, regularly attending conferences, training courses, and specialist workshops in forensic collision investigation — including advanced work in the analysis of video evidence.
I have offices in both England and Scotland.
